How do I tell my husband to stop being very rough around me.(please read discription)?

How do I tell my husband to stop being very rough around me.(please read discription)? My husband for example holds me very hard, when we get into bed he grabs and throws me on there violently, he carries me in the air and puts his head inside my skirt. I am 6 inches taller than him, but he is alot stronger than me. Because I am so much taller than him he thinks I can handle the roughplay, but he is really hurting me. I am from india and he is a white american. Is this type of behavior normal in western culture. He means well and I love him but he just has trouble controlling himself.
